Well, KIA/Hyundai were ranked some of the worst offenders as far as vehicle data-harvesting (they all do it, these were just some of the worst). Also, I don’t ever see any older Kias/Hyundais on the road and even though that’s not hard evidence, that says to me that they’re poorly made.
