If 13th or 14th gen, only if you get lucky and update to the microcode hotfix. GL
As a newbie in this space, I had interactions with a few distros over the years and lately switched (hopefully) permanently.
My first experience was with Mint 10 years ago. Installing it would cause some GPU driver defect (AMD card) and would turn the whole login screen into an epileptic checkerboard pattern with no way of doing anything. It took me a few reinstalls and a ungodly amount of googling to find a solution which involved opening the terminal at boot process. You can only imagine how frustating that can be for a newcomer.
Later in time I had Ubuntu on my laptop which had a bug that wouldn’t spin up the CPU fan and it would simply overheat and shutdown. I had to take it to a technician to find out what was causing the random shutdowns.
A year ago I decided to try Debian on my desktop PC as many have praized it for it’s rock-wolid stability. It didn’t want to work on my PC. No internet connection and some weird bugs. Took me two-three days to get ti to work and I still don’t know what exactly fixed it as I have applied every possible solition I came across.
Much later, aka now, I decided to go with Bazzite on my desktop as many have claimed excelent support. I wanted to install the mimalloc because I play Factorio a lot and a few reddit posts claimed 20% UPS improvement over the stock scheduler. After downloading the source code and following the 4 very easy steps, cmake would throw some random eerors at me claiming some critical files were missing, although they were right there in the usr directory. Turns us Bazzite some some issue and Fedora 40 compiled the code in seconds without any issues.
Conclusion: Linux users, which are very tech savvy or work in that space, know what to do when things don’t work out, while the rest of us keeps googling and crying over error messages for things that seem trivial. You never seem to know if it’s you, the system or your hardware.
My aproach was to use two drives. I had Windows on the first, then disconected it and installed Linux on the second. That way I dont have grub and use F11 to open the bios bootloader to select the system I want.
Some stupid meme about a girl who told in a street interview that men like to get sloppy blowjobs
One more thing I forgot to add. The OS shits itself when I try to charge my phone and use it at the same time. All apps lag, you can’t scroll, can*t type without noticible delay and can’t even close the app by swiping. This was doxumented on some forums. Noone knows why. (I use the charged I got with my phone)
The phone kept nagging me to update to 12 and later to 13 all the time. I didn’t manage to find a way to make the notification go away… Maybe it’s just me being a doofus. As for the notifications thing, I literally tried everything except factory resetting my phone. Guess I am just unlucky.
I wanted to get some of the Samsung apps back, but most weren’t updated to work on 12 at that time and later I just forgot and gave in. I’ve never used F-Droid before but it looks like a good time to start now. Tnx for reminding me about it.
I was thinking about it ever since Louis Rossmann showcased it. But as he had problems using his banking app and some other stuff, I decided it wouldn’t be worth the hassel. Also, many people wrote that with Graphene you lose a lot of the fancy camera shenanigans that Google made. And the camera was one of the more important points in getting this phone.
The most annoying thing is that major android updates are mandatory. I could not choose NOT to update. Notifications are bugged as hell for ages. Some just disappear, some don’t even ring/light up. Samsung had some apps that had more features compared to the Google alternatives. The only annoying this were all teh MS apps that I couldn’t deinstall.
I have a 4a 5G variant and I can’t stand how the “stock” experience manages to be worse than on my old Samsung :-/ The pics are great tho
Taylor Swift is a certified assassin now?
Happens only in Office. No other program has ever triggered it. So it’s either Intel or HP or Windows, but since it is the lowest offering of hardware and software, probably a combination of all 3.
I guess not, since you would need GPU drivers in the first place /s
I have a case. My PC at work is a HP Celeron PC. For some reason the Intel HD drivers go nuts in Office and the whole ribbon just turns black. That spreads to all other applications and makes every signel menu bar just a black rectangle. The only solution to this is to restart the driver. No driver or windows update could fix it.
An honest question - why would he want Europe? The assumptions for why he attacked Ukraine were because of some huge natural gas reserves that were discovered and because the pipeline from Russia to Europe goes thru Ukraine and they are forced to pay transit fees or something like that. The rest of Europe is all Nato and they can legaly attack them from all sides. Wouldn’t the decision to open a new front be like the most retarded thing to do?
All official texts use standard German, but the differences appear in day-to-day communication. People usually write in their dialect and since there is no orthographic standard, it looks quite bizzare. If you know a little bit of German, take a look at Tapakapa Erklärt. An Austrian guy speaking and subtitling in his (Vienna?) dialect.
Close enough. My original ideas was that Dutch is often taken as a joke language due to sounding like a cross-over between English and German. I just added Austria taking Bavaria with her because of the strong linguistic similarities. The inspiration for this meme was a comment on YT. A Dutch guy made a video in English with a strong accent. A German dude wrote “You should have made a video in German instead of in broken English.” The only reason we know the dude in the video was Dutch is because of some text in the background, but the accent sounded German.
Why are people transcribing memes?
Quite a few well known memers, not the peseants though
