I remember asking my dad to cocoon me in blankets as a kid. It was wicked comfy.
Nowadays I’m in a hammock. It’s way more comfy on my hips than a mattress and it gives me that happy cuddled feeling.

That’s just because you haven’t met my label maker. It does the letters one at a time, manually, embossed into a strip of plastic.
Mine’s fine. My partner is also dating someone else and that person is awesome. Sometimes my partner is gone for a weekend, which means I get the whole condo to myself, can take up the whole dining table with my hobby mess, and can order delivery food that would give him heartburn (instead of ordering from someplace he can also order from).
Sometimes his girlfriend visits us, which is a great impetus to clean the condo. She’s also a great cook ☺️
LPT: if you ever get wasps in your house you can use the extension hose on your vacuum cleaner to suck them up. The hose extension means you don’t have to get close to them.
(I’m fine with them outside as long as they don’t nest on my balcony, but inside is a problem.)
Seconding that there is nothing in the dots. It’s just yellow and green dots.
I was taught it was about states rights, too. In Kentucky, they were less forceful about calling it the "war of northern aggression.
Did you get taught that some slaves liked being slaves because it meant all their needs were met and they didn’t have to worry about anything?
Huh. I don’t think national pride that was a factor in my disappointment. I was more sad because 9 is a better number than 8, and Pluto is just a cute little guy.
Mine are pipecleanered neatly (couldn’t find the Velcro) and grouped into gallon Ziploc bags.
They’re pretty sweet, but also salty. Very tasty, like frozen sugar free Gatorade. (because real sugar+sick kid=bathroom sadness)
Pedialyte (electrolyte drink aimed at sick kids) comes in freezer tubes and they’re awesome when you’re over-hot and dehydrated.
I thought the USPS was funded through usage fees/stamps.
From a “giving tech support” POV, nano is the best editor. Have you ever tried walking a non-techie through editing a config file on the command line, over the phone, no screen share? Nano is your friend. (I swear, this very expensive software I used to support got its sysadmins by picking whoever was absent the day the the client site figured out someone had to do it.)
And if a character of childbearing age and physique is nauseous, they’re pregnant.
That’s for the best.
(I’ll describe it in case you’re serious:
You know those Asian squat toilets, a fancy hole in the floor? First shot is of one of those with a toilet seat suspended over it like a swing. Second shot is outside the stall, angled along the stalls. We see the feet of someone swinging out of the stall, like they’re enjoying the toilet swing. A brown turd-shaped object rolls out from under the stall door. A hand with holding toilet paper reaches out and picks up the turd, pulling it back into the stall.

Slaps car. You can fit so many cats in this baby.
Same, but my state. It was maybe 6 months after mine was stolen.
(technically, you can still sell them but the rules are strict. One of the ways was if the catalytic converter was attached to a car at the time. I think the other way was just more paperwork.)

Yeah, I’ll start making major changes on this active system people are actively using while they are actively using it. Or… I could do it at 10pm when they’re all in bed and won’t write me nastygrams about interrupting their workflow.
I’m also thinking of things like roadworks, where you can either have land closures when folks are out and about or at night when there are fewer folks on the road and working with hot asphalt is less hot.
There are also some processes that need to be done at a certain temperature, like thermite welding rail (skip to like 4:00). So, either you air condition the railroads or you weld when the outside temperature is right.
Wait, only 2 digits for the year? What in the Y2K is that?
Sure wasn’t my industry. It’s nearly obligatory to meme your slides and include pictures of your pet(s) on the “any questions” slide.
On the other hand, I’m in libraries. We may be professionals but we’re not highly paid 😂
I’ve been having good luck with Kimi K2 for CSS/bootstrap stuff, and boilerplate API calls (example: update x to y, pulling x and y from this .csv). I appreciate that it cites its sources because then I can go read more and hopefully become more self-reliant when looking up documentation.
