21·1 day agoYeah, good question. I mean, some actors are REALLY good at their fake accents. Off the top of my head, Ella Purnell did an outstanding job in Fallout. I genuinely had no idea that she wasn’t a born-and-raised burgerlander with how well she pulled off the yank accent.
Maybe fake british accents are the least worst outcome then lol, idk. Still makes my eye twitch every time though.

How “addicted” our society / system is to fossil fuels, and that it’s the life blood of our economic system, and no matter how much we might want to stop pumping oil we cannot help ourselves. But, come to think of it, without a critique of capitalism, that rings kind of holly doesn’t it.
In any event, though, I thought it was a great film.
Any Burgerlander film set anywhere in Europe always use fake british accents, regardless of which country or region that it actually takes place in.
Outstanding film IMO. My favourite of the year so far.

I’ve just had to give up trying.

4·9 days agoDo we know if those grenade dropper videos were legit? They seemed real, but the hits were incredibly - unbelievably - accurate.
Ansar Allah has been known to use AI (like when they faked that general’s voice to dupe the Saudis) - is there a chance that those vids were AI?
Not that I doubt their abilities, but I’ve never seen something go that straight down from that altitude before. Like there was no wind at all.

I thought GTA5 was one of the best games I ever played, but entirely because of the story and the characters. I am not a “car guy” nor a “gun guy” but it just had such good writing.
From watching the trailer of GTA6 I cannot get even a little bit of sense of what these characters are supposed to be like. They just seem like the most normal, boring people ever.
Regardless, still way cooler than the dumb bullshit that the yanks think up.
