Separate tickets, dudes.
I don’t understand. How is someone who promotes rights, liberties, and democracy getting pissed off at someone else exercising those rights?
noun noun: liberal; plural noun: liberals; noun: Liberal; plural noun: Liberals
1. a supporter of policies that are socially progressive and promote social welfare.
2. a supporter of a political and social philosophy that promotes individual rights, civil liberties, democracy, and free enterprise.
I doubt motion sensors would be a good idea. Birds flying by, wind moving branches… waste of explosive.
Damn, I am stealing this. Too many good uses:
“She lives in a hopium den”
“Hopium addict”
“Hopium of the masses”
I don’t know - the arc shot with the zoom (when the three robots were on stage) looked much too smooth, and suspiciously computer-generated.
Sure, specific intellectuals did pursue advancement in science and technology under the wing of religion, but it was often that or be silenced.
Like Copernicus, Galileo, Descartes? Silenced/censured by the church, often with threats. Or Bruno, burned alive…
Why are so many doctors and nurses armed? Or is it the patients?
D’oh! (H. Simpson). Have an upvote!
This is great! This’ll lower prices for everyone else.
Follow up with “Russian Power Plants”? Chernobyl could be a Free Square.
One, “Operation Praying Mantis” II coming up. Did you want Freedom Fries with that?
I had to look up the sandwich thing. Nope, these are all true, meticulously explained as the program progresses, sources quoted, everything.
For bigger-pictures examples of this, I think you’re looking for the TV series, Connections, hosted by James Burke. It’s old but still VERY good.
Each episode started with James Burke showing you something cool, and tracing how it got here/got that way, often in unusual circumstances.
“I’m standing next to a nuclear reactor. This single building generates power for the city below, 50,000 people. And today every one of them would be sitting in the dark, or at a pitiful small fireplace, if it weren’t for an Italian peasant whose mother forbade him to play the lute, in 1032.”
They probably tried a dozen employees. This was the best.
And if they say things like “God bless you”, I take it as a sign of respect
Very different from someone in the South saying “God bless your heart”, which means they think you’re being stupid.
Answering the question, “What do you get when you paint a whiny bitch orange?”
There were supposedly some tweaks to sensors last year
So really, all we have to do is modulate the shield frequency and we’re good. :)
Lemme guess, they’re calling it the “Every Vote Counts!” bill, yes?
I think for the sake of mixed company and delicate sensibilities we should refer to this as a “BM” rather than a “bullshit machine”. Therefore it could be a LLM BM, or simply a BM.
