5·6 months agoYes, the individual words have meanings, as words tend to do. Those words, in that order, form a NCIS, two people typing on the same keyboard, level word salad that has so little real world relevance that it tips soundly into the absurd.
This is how we found anything on reddit for most of its useful life. Its search was always garbage so we relied on Google to come up with usable results.
There’s that word again. “Heavy.” Why are things so heavy in the future? Is there a problem with the Earth’s gravitational pull?
6·7 months agoThe way I understand it is that time itself is altered by gravity and/or velocity. So atomic decay that occurs on a very specific cadence in each reference frame will not occur simultaneously in 2 or more different reference frames that are not in the same gravity, moving at the same velocity. There’s even a measurable though very small difference in the passage of time between sea level and high mountains due to the difference in gravity. I’m leaving a lot out and there’s a bunch of math involved, but i think that’s mostly correct.

You’re close, but some Christians would argue that the god worshipped by those of Jewish faith is not the same god either and therefore not embrace that god. Those Christians would say that since Jesus revealed the trinitarian (Father, Son, and Spirit) nature of their god, to reject that nature is to worship a different god altogether. Similar to how Muslims acknowledge their shared history and feel a respect for Judaism and Christianity, those Christians accept and respect those of Jewish faith, but will still point out their incomplete understanding of the god the Christians worship.

11·8 months agoIt looks like a Prius, the battery can probably provide huge amperage for a short time for acceleration from a stop. I could be wrong though, I don’t know the specifics of the electrical system on the car or the gun.
If the opnsense interface on the WAN VLAN has a public routable IP address there shouldn’t be a problem with double NAT. Double NAT should only be a problem if they have a crappy ISP that’s using CGNAT.
Edit: never mind, I reread your comment. We’re saying the same thing essentially.

61·11 months agoI’m still on the fence on this. I feel like they should federate fully instead of only one way, but I’m trying to understand the threat from Threads. I know it’s probably been done to death, but do you have a link or thorough explanation of why bringing more users and content to the fediverse is harmful?
Also, updates. A long uptime says I haven’t updated the kernel/firmware since at least this long.
It’s almost like the views of the population of an entire country can’t be distilled down to a single binary statement. 🤷♂️
