But if you have already built your career, have a high-ranking job, and can afford some time off (does gender-affirming surgery count as treatment of an illness?), the impact will be less than if you went into the market as a woman from the beginning.

Regarding the „cis fems“ (no iOS, I don‘t want to type cos), cis (here) is simply the opposite of trans (across). There are reports of cis people being insulted by the term, but in my view, they have similar credibility to „I don‘t have pronouns, pronouns boy!!11!“
