I don’t want an exact clone of Instagram server. Only publishing content to my friends instead of strangers is exactly what I want ;)
Btw, how does the others find a new client? Exposing ip to strangers from internet sounds horrible. Can we only allow connecting via links invitation with expiration?
Also check out https://getaether.net/ although this project is dead and it always don’t have enough ppl. They also have to implement a feature for removing illegal content.
I am glad we have Lemmy now.
Syncthing is such a wonderful project. RIP. But for us already being spoiled by syncthing, it might be a good time to self host services to handle, sync and serve our own data like photos, contacts and more.
Cool idea. I have always looked around to see any alternative for Instagram (server, not client) None of them are satisfied. I hope your app can eventually integrated with immich. For example, adding photos with specific tag will upload to the p2p network with strict group acl.
Am I the only one think that the root cause is because lots of upper management treats universities as state owned business. Universities’ management always try to expand and lure more students. They don’t care if their students’ career and their future. Even a factory owner who don’t care about their products will slow down the production if the sale doesn’t go well. University should not allow to accept more students if certain percentage of their graduated students cannot find a jobs.
I just feel heart broken to see passionate talents get mistreated every year again and again.
I won’t waste time on things other than grafana if your setup is serious. Because you will always want more. Log aggregation, log query, alerts, tracing, profiling, oidc, s3 bucket, more and more dashboards. It’s addictive. Why waste time to redo it in the future?
How about a doc editor, not code editor, not m$ word. Just a simple modern doc editor.
We really don’t have a native asciidoc editor, not even one. Unlike other apps which we don’t use it frequently that even electron liked apps’ performance are acceptable, doc editor should be built in native.
We have something like https://www.appflowy.io/ and https://www.getgrist.com/, but none of them are native.
Why not? ;)
Rimworld!! I love it because it’s native.
It’s always good to have another self hosted option
Before we max bet on phones, I think we should nail tablet first. The GUI for the current Linux apps are designed for mouse, not for phone/tablet.
Thanks for the detail instructions. Sounds fun :)
That’s rare. Would you mind to elaborate how do you actually setup when you are free? Ty.
Grist-v-airtable Strapi Nocodb
I still like https://vikunja.io/ more because they has Gantt chart which is a super rare feature for modern project management sw.
You may be surprised. Blender + plugin.
https://github.com/kamiyaa/joshuto sounds interesting.
It’s pretty ironic that a country known for oppressing people’s freedom to take advantage of an OS famous for spreading freedom. I suddenly feel like I built guns for serial killers.
I install enlightenment in a asus netbook. Still working. Haven’t updated for so long. ~10 yrs?
