They aren’t stupid nor do they lack engineers and capability to produce weapons. They also have a system of training good enough pilots in large numbers, and a good engeneering school. The only thing they currently lack is a way to communicate over long distance with wide enough channel, if they’ll get something like this soon year or two, we are going to lose. They already catching up on production of heavy bombers and robotic complexes.

Sometimes they are very useful, actually. Also it’s an indicator and a dependency problem. If you don’t control your basic dependencies you can’t claim to be any kind of ‘superpower’. This, so called front line is essentially empty in a lot of places and one big loss can break unstable in many ways country. We are lucky that they are regarded and inefficient in many areas (in general their army is great at implementing doctrine, doctrine itself is flawed so far with exception of drone warfare, they aren’t cutting edge in this but implementation and standartization is the key here).
True, strategical offence, tactical defence/slow retreat. We have a lot of problems with actual defense tho, r*ssia can push enough men and resources to finish off donetsk oblast. Also 4 years of destruction do play a huge role, it’s hard and slow to infrastructure. As for attacking with men we are really suffering from dumb decisions of 23-24 and propaganda war being lost to m*scovia.
