I wonder how long it would take for the radioactivity to be indistinguishable from the atmospheric average.
That is akin to amputating your leg because you’re tired of stubbing your toes.
This is not remotely helpful.
It’s honestly unkind to include it in the quote from her. Written down, it is seriously hard to read. But spoken aloud, your brain will filter “filler words” like that out without needing to think too hard about it.
And it’s so ridiculously good. The NYT even wrote an article about it.
Do escapees of NK often express disbelief that the rest of the world dislikes the country they escaped from? Your question seems to be a non sequitur.
That’s certainly true. If I may ask, what point are you trying to make?
Oh wow, that’s pretty definitive. Looks like the meaning I’ve understood is correct – according to Wikipedia at least (which I tend to trust).
@Linkerbaan@lemmy.world what do you think? It looks like you may be misusing the term.
Interesting. I’ve legitimately never heard of the word being used in any context other than what I described. Thank you for sharing.
I still feel weird calling Biden a tankie, though I do see where you’re coming from.
Well, yeah. Folks that fell for China’s propaganda specifically.
That is literally not what tankie means.

Looks like I’m in the minority, but I subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online. My wife and I enjoy the extra Mario kart courses and I personally enjoy the N64 virtual console.
every fucking mobile game ever
Hey now, there are some (very few, but some) mobile games that are quite good. Dawncaster is an excellent deck builder for example.
Seems legit as a concept, though the author is giving weird vibes.
I’m not sure what “globohomo” means but it sounds like a 4chan homophobic term. Additionally the author says they wanted a search engine giving results without “political inclinations”, which reads to me as “reality has a liberal bias and I don’t like that”.
I’ll pass on this for now.
Don’t get me wrong, the only Libertarianism I’ve ever known is intertwined with Capitalism. But they aren’t the same thing, and I always read BioShock as being a take on Libertarianism specifically.
Any problem that breaks the GUI version to such a degree that the user must resort to using the terminal is a problem. You and I may be content to use the terminal – hell, I tend to prefer it over most GUi options – but that doesn’t mean your average user will be happy to do so.
Capitalist utopia? Isn’t the whole point that it’s a Libertarian utopia?
Well…the headline only says the planet is 6.9 times as big as Earth. Jupiter is at least that large, last time I checked, so without more context I also don’t know what is special about it.
