Are you upset by a prosecutor prosecuting crimes? Or are you upset that people committing crimes you agree with are getting prosecuted? I’m just not sure what you are fake shocked about.

Normally, I’m all for lifting gag-orders after cases are closed out. But with this one, the guy who is one of the most powerful men in the world (at times) and who commands one of the most easily swayed violent gangs in the world (not the most violent, just easily swayed towards violence) while also having absolutely no hesitation in commanding them to violence has already shown he is EAGER to have that gag order lifted… I can’t imagine why.
It is something the Space Force is constantly working on. It’s absolutely one of the highest priorities.
I think some cities/states have determined Ladies Nights to be illegal… after lawsuits from the exact same types of dudes who think a heterosexual awareness month are a good idea.
It fucking infuriates me how slowly all of these are going. These are all minimum 3.5 year old cases. Some of them are 8 years old or more. I get that they are taking their time to make sure all the ducks are in the tightest row possible and that in one of the cases the judge is intentionally stalling everything, but this is insanely slow.
Fuck you, MS, for making people create an account to use something they paid for.
Good. Crimes as terrible as this need to be prosecuted heavily.
I assume it is for two reasons. One is to help distinguish between people who have the same names, since it is rarer for them to be the same age. The other is to give some context to the people in the story. Are they 19 year olds committing this crime who don’t necessarily know the impact of their actions? 80 year olds who are maybe not as sharp-minded as they used to be?
They invented Esparanto as the universal language for the world, but nobody used it.
The whole car line to pick up and drop off is so weird to me. I grew up taking the bus or walking or riding a bike. The only time my mom ever drove me to school was when I had a doctor/dentist appointment in the morning or if I happened to be awake early and wanted to be dropped off across the street at the grocery store to buy some candy before school. The only time I was ever picked up from school was when I was in sports after school and didn’t have a bus option.
Now I drive by schools that have a mile long train of cars waiting to pick up one person, all wasting gas and time. Why aren’t kids walking down the line of cars to get to their parents car earlier? Why don’t they take a bus?
Flying half-way around the world to attempt a coup with your son and his two buddies? Sounds like an awesome Tuesday activity.
Empathy is the exact reason. Until they have first-hand experience with something, they will consistently stand firm on their own beliefs. Until it’s someone they know, it only affects “the wrong people.”
Jesus fucking christ, how the fuck does he not go to jail for that? Civil lawsuit isn’t nearly enough for that. Hell, aside from the clear assault that’s getting close to illegal confinement when he dragged her back to his hotel room.
EDIT: I just read the back-story to this. A) The crime is now past the statute of limitations, so the state can’t prosecute for it. B) The reason why the tape didn’t coming out before now is Sean Combs bought the tape from the hotel to prevent it from getting out. That just feels like obstruction of justice or something. It probably isn’t, though.
Remember when the slashdot effect was a thing that mattered?
Reading up on the DREAM act is one of the most frustrating things you can do. It has been tried and failed a ridiculous number of times over the past few decades.
I think it depends on whether investment choices is something the board normally weighs in on, but your point is good: if this were the other way around, I would probably feel the action was justified.
I’ve been boycotting Amazon since 1999, so no I haven’t been paying attention.
Ah, so dark as in evil, not dark as in low light. I hadn’t heard of that, but going through the darkpatterns.org website is basically a laundry list of shit I hate.
to chop them up, distort them, and use them for partisan political purposes,” Siskel wrote.
Got it, so that makes it alright to kill 30,000 civilians who aren’t child soldiers.
I’m glad you reset my moral compass.
