This just makes me so angry.

Nostr is the easiest to use decentralized Twitter alternative I’ve came across.
I do not trust Whatsapp to provide the security of a signal conversation. Who wants signal and WhatsApp to talk to each other ?
Out of curiosity, have you played BG3 ? It seems that most people who don’t like the game are coming to starfield right from BG3 and those who do have not played it. BG3 is now just the bar that AAA story telling is held to and anyone who has experienced it is having a hard time with the story of other games.
Hisense TVs come with a physical microphone switch that disables the mic. Idk if this is on the budget end of TVs but I paid about 1500 for mine and it has it.
I hate those types of games and I’ve still managed to sink 50 hours in bg3 and I’m not even done with the first act yet. It’s the new standard for AAA gaming.
I believe you can do Ethernet over USB c on some devices.
I agree with you. This is the issue at hand.
They are doing away with that soon. Going to usernames.
This is true. I’m a bit biased as that is what I would do. I’d say most users will not even notice. I think most of us here on lemmy are tech heads though and we would be the ones who do connect our phones to PC.
Unless it’s limited by hardware this will be a main cause for jailbreaking your iPhone.
It’s a lightweight version. It doesn’t have some of the pre installed stuff that comes on the normal Windows.
I use the N version of Windows and I never see any of this.
I run N, I like it.
If you want to try Linux, try Ubuntu or mint. Those are the easiest to make an entry into.
No it’s not, if it’s not on the store (outside of Ubuntu does a store even exist?) then it’s more difficult to install. Half the time it’s an appimage you have to download, make it executable and then run. Then if you install it from a website you have to go through the trouble of adding a shortcut into your application menu / desktop and it’s just way more complex than Windows.
I disagree. If you consider a power user using PowerShell or terminal, then sure. But simple things on windows are more complex on Linux. Like installing a program, if you can do it through snap or apt get then great, still more complex for the average user compared to windows where you just download and click.
a failed desktop OS
Windows still has over 60% of desktop market share. You may not like it, but it isn’t a failed OS.
Guessing you spend a lot of time on XDA as well?
Don’t they make money by charging massive servers a fee ?
