  • Everything before the Babylonian Exile was made up, because the Babylonians sacked, well everything. They destroyed the First Temple, and took away the nobility and priests.

It was only after the Exile ended that the Hebrews became monotheistic… Sort of. There has been some noises before the Exile, but afterwards it was official.

It was also after the Exile that the stories of Noah and Moses were first added to the Torah.

As a note, the Epic of Gilgamesh has a flood story, and as an ancient Babylon story, would have been available for the hostages (the Hebrew priests and nobility) to read.

  • There’s an old joke. The parties change but the message stays the same.

A group of Nazis have cornered a group socialists when a centrist comes along. The centrist listens to both sides, how the Nazis want to kill all the socialists and how the socialists don’t want to die. Thinking long and hard on it, the centrist says that there’s a compromise to be had, just kill half.

What’s worse is the links to white supremacy in all this shit.

The origin of many of these ancient alien slash ancient apocalypse “theories” are 1900s Germany.

People who were looking for a “scientific” reason why Germans were the superior race.

The core thrust of every “ancient” whatever theory is that ancient people were idiots and had to be shown how to pile rocks into a pyramid shape or shit.

The imaginary people who “showed” ancient brown people how to do shit are always depicted as white.

  • Now I’m thinking about a pair of elves is the worst sort of codependent relationship, but one light year apart.

They use sign language to constantly argue and make up with each other, but because of the one light year delay, they’re maybe never quite at the same place in the argument/reconciliation cycle, both of them arguing with their counterpart one year prior.
