Coming from Germany, I don’t know if the traditional way to eat muesli is just adding yoghurt. Most people I know normally add fresh milk to it.
Personally, I enjoy my daily Müsli with vanilla soy milk (but I tend to be the only one liking that), fruit skyr (or yogurt), some oatmeal and/or crunchy granola, and most importantly, at least two kinds of fresh fruit, like bananas, peaches, apples, pears, or grapes. Without fruit, it just tastes bland.
Turing Machine is actually the only game on my wish list this year. It’s the perfect match for me as I love solving logical puzzles, work in IT and like to play board games instead of sitting in front of a display all the time. The Steam game Turing Complete was already a dream come true for me.
There is no impact on taxes as long as your Nebenverdienst is not higher than 520€ a month. You also don’t have to pay social security contributions in that case.
I live less than an hour away, so I’d be really lazy not to go there.
I think meeting there with friends is the best incentive for those who live far away.
Not yet. I usually don’t make a list until a few days before it starts. But maybe I won’t prepare anything at all this time.
I’m more focused on playing games for fun now, rather than getting the best deals like I did 5 years ago. The SPIEL is good for trying out games, sometimes even before release, or getting some exclusive bonus expansions, but not so much for getting cheap prices anymore.
Besides, I don’t want to add to my huge collection until I have more time to play games. So this time I may just go unprepared and see what looks interesting.
Well, I’m not a biologist and even all my houseplants are constantly dying. For me, biology as a whole is confusing.
You are correct, but the potato plant bears potato fruits, which are classified as berries. I will clarify that in my comment.
The taxonomy in biology can be really confusing. Potatoes (only their fruits), peppers, cucumbers, eggplants, avocados, lemons, oranges, kiwifruit and papayas are also in the berry club.
It’s not as complicated as I thought at first. Driving a Tesla you have most routes covered with Tesla Superchargers.
Additionally, I have a basic subscription from an electricity provider including their charging card for rare cases where the app doesn’t work. There are just 3 different types with increasing rates:
I’m on vacation with a rented Tesla Y LR in Tuscany right now. We traveled all the way from northern Germany (about 1500 km) and never had any issues finding a free charging station. Just once every single parking spot was used and the charging automatically stopped at 80% in order to make space for others more quickly (and to be honest, this was due to other cars parking in the Tesla reserved parking spots at an Italian supermarket).
Traveling with kids automatically makes you take a break every 3 hours or so. This time, we just let the car charge during these breaks and had a 100% charged car afterwards. That’s about 55 min of charging time. In about 25 min you can charge from 20% to 80% using a 250 kW supercharger.
You have to keep in mind that long distance travel is not the usual use case and that being able to slowly charge the vehicle during the night is also important. Most camping sites, hotels and vacation resorts offer at least two 11 kW stations at their own rates.
I completely agree. Both of the problems you mention are solved in Jaws of the Lion, so I would recommend any newbie to start with that.
Sorry, your comment was just very vague. As a European, it is always interesting to follow these discussions from an outside perspective, be it here or earlier on Reddit.
It seems like US politics is all about owning the other party most of the time. It’s amazing that for every issue, no matter how reasonable and clear-cut, there is always an opposing position that can be credibly argued for either side.
I would also often like to see discussions that focus more on substantive arguments and not so much on predetermined positions.
Care to elaborate? What community has been built on Mastodon and what should not be discussed on Lemmy? Politics? Or only US politics? Or criticizing Republicans?
Still works for me without any issues
