I agree, but I am afraid democrats if they ever regain power will just say we need to move on and nothing will happen. They have done it before and I expect they will do it again.

I think you are right that the problem is often just lazy people not wanting to understand or use the tool in a way that is beneficial to them. But there are some good use cases for it, when I am coding I will ask questions and my session instructions are to only provide relevant links to source documentation that can be helpful in my problem and also provide tutorial links that could be relevant, never provide code or advice. I would say 7/10 times it gets me to the correct spot in the docs and provides some useful tutorials on the subject. Not perfect but I am not using it and just blindly trusting its advice, just using it to be a slightly faster search engine that gets me to the information I am seeking without me having to dig into the docs or jump from site to site finding the information.

You’ll stay healthy for life if you bike to work everyday its worth it for that reason, but it sucks not having the dedicated bike lanes that other countries tend to have.

The solution is to focus on our education system and possibly start requiring school before people can do certain things. I think for example in order to have kids you should be required to take a parenting class for a period of time. I mainly bring this up because my wife is a teacher and at least half of her students each year have parents who either don’t want to be a parent or have zero idea how to be a parent. Some form of required education will be a barrier between those who don’t want kids and useful for those who don’t know what to do. My wife and I fostered kids for a period of time and we were not only required to take classes before we could but we had to redo those classes each year, and that was just to foster kids not have them for example.

Its not perfect but too many people are having kids and not doing anything for themselves to be prepared for that, they just rely on the schools to do everything and there is only so much a teacher can do for these kids. My wife who teaches elementary aged kids has had on numerous occasions to teach children how to wipe their own butts because their parents won’t do it themselves, this isn’t something a teacher should have to do but its either she explains it to them or deals with a stinky child all day who is upset because of it. This is just one example and there are numerous others.

I heard that the last ship from the middle east coming to the US with oil would arrive on April 15th so we have yet to experience the shortage of oil just because of how long it takes these ships to travel across the world. People act like everything is fine and here I am stocking up on supplies and I purchasing some bikes for when gas becomes a really big issue. I hope I am wrong and I am just another crazy person but I would rather be somewhat prepared than pretending like everything is fine.

All jobs require someone to use their body in order for them to make money, I would much rather show my body for money than to do physical labor for money.
