They should be developing their own energy systems by now. They’ve been sanctioned by the US forever and enjoyed USSR support for a long time when it was still in function. There’s no excuse to not be having developed your own solar panel systems yet.
Cuba has the majority of the population under extreme poverty right now. They are effectively leveled already.
Sure, the US is “refusing diplomacy”. I didn’t say Cuba needed “diplomacy”, much less with the US. My point was that the US will always be that way, and it is Cuba’s responsibility to look after its own people.
It is their responsibility to figure something out for themselves.
The US will not relent as long as its empire stands. The US is to blame for their sanctions, but inaction in coming up w a response is something Cuba is to blame for.

Though even if it does, they could just introduce taxes nation-wide, and then if billionaires leave the country then they can simply do things like making overseas billionaire Americans pay up (they already do stuff like this iirc, just the uber-rich get away with it).
I’m not sure if them leaving the country would even be a bad thing, since billionaires aren’t the backbone of the economy to begin with, they’re the stain. Good example is how housing price surges are literally always because of the ultra rich.
