Yeah, around ep 4 they stop making it like a cooking show and it starts to get interesting. They still have those little cooking montages, but it stops being the focus.

This one is great. I was skeptical the first three episodes, but around ep 4 it picked up and the plot just went into overdrive. I really enjoyed it!

It’s good, but upon re-watching it now from when I first watched it, and thinking a little differently about it - Superman talks about needing to be careful to not hurt people and cause deaths. Then he proceeds to put Darkseid through several buildings that obviously weren’t evacuated, followed by punching him so hard he goes through a couple layers of earth and totally destroys a bunch of infrastructure. He essentially shows his power and ignores everything he just said.

I still love seeing Superman let loose and fuck Darkseid’s shit up though. 😂

Dude, I’m American and even I know they get more time off, get paternity and maternity leave, can take more vacations, have better transit, pay less in health insurance. They have enough disposable income to do the things we do, but don’t have to worry about the other bullshit as much. Nothing they get is “free”, and they know this, but they don’t have to think twice about using the services.

High schools in Nevada with HSJROTC programs had rifle teams. My high school had a range and I believe that they used .22s in competion, but for class we used air rifles. There was a gun safety training and written testing you had to pass and then those who were allowed to participate could fire during class during the module (only juniors and seniors, freshmen and sophomores did not get this module). I remember the Colonel was the only one who had a key to the lockers for rifles and the ammunition was kept in a separate locked locker. It was a fun unit! For reference, I graduated in 2000.

If I remember correctly, those who opted out were given other work or allowed to work on unfinished classwork.

I don’t know if they still do this though.
