Indiana pronounces their Monticello the same way
I was a two block walk from where the 135 went express and my work was a two blocks from a bus stop. The red line took longer because is was a >10 minute walk on each end. The brown line stopped closer to my work but still took longer than the bus (without traffic).
I would usually check the traffic on LSD before heading home and if it was really bad take the L, in the morning traffic was usually not bad enough to where the L was faster.
I had a 20 minute biking commute from Lakeview to the very north area of the loop but it was 30 minutes on an express bus or 45 minutes on the L door to door. A 20 minute door to door transit commute is lucky.
I was put on the 24th floor of an office building with a desk facing the window while the company I worked for renovated our 10th floor office. It was really cool, there was a small hawk that liked to hang out on the window ledge and I had a nice view. When the renovation was done I was moved back to a cubicle with only florescence lights.
A small opening to side streets for pedestrians and bikes plus a couple bike racks would really improve big box stores for not much money.
I love cilantro, but I got the celery tastes bitter and spicy gene. So many people tell me it’s tasteless but it has a strong, terrible taste to me.
There’s a FOSS app for anyone who wants this functionality without Google
They had one of them in my neighborhood and it only stocked the most popular books (on amazon) which you already get delivered to you in an hour or two. It seemed pretty pointless.
It’s really cool that he had the kids pick the quotes.
I basically need to stick this xkcd chart next to my computer or I’ll spend days creating something that saves me minutes per years.
Although sometimes it’s fun to automate things just for the hell of it.
In my mind the brain blades can extend and retract wolverine style.
Alligator is not bad deep fried, but still tastes like you’re eating a weird chicken.
What? Before the iPhone Palm and RIM were improving their smartphones constantly, new feature phones were coming out all the time with apps to access social media, the internet and play games. I think a lot of people actually were often wanting a better phone especially because all the phone mentioned above had terrible touchscreens.
My first smartphone was the Motorola Droid 2 and it could easily be over clocked from 600 MHz to 1200 MHz. The dynamic overclocking even helped the battery life. I miss the keyboard, it was great for playing old video games on emulators.
Maybe coffee is very expensive where OP lives
I’ve had no issues with it except for one hostel I tried to email not getting my email. The web interface isn’t the best, but I access my email almost exclusively though IMAP. I’ve also set up my calendar and contacts though it.
I picked posteo over proton and tutamail because of the IMAP support. I didn’t want to use a proprietary app.
The last Pixel to have a headphone jack was the 5A released in 2021. The 6, 6A, 7, 7A, and 8 do not have headphone jacks.
Does that make things appear faster on your LCD Display?
No modern grains: find the original wild versions of wheat, corn, and rice and only process and eat those.
