1·7 months agoYes, no problems with Linux. There is a fix in the latest kernels for a keyboard issue that the RP-15 used to have (TongFang GMxXGxx).
My wife has a new Asus Tuf15 and it is a decent, solid laptop. Not thin and light, but then again that is not how it is marketed. Plus the price can’t be beat.
Specs-wise, I own a beefier rebranded Tongfang (XMG, XPG, ELUKTRONICS…) with an Nvidia 4070 GPU. I quite like and recommend it, but I would definitely get the mechanical keyboard version. I love the port placement.

I agree. The priority implicit in the framing is backwards. It’s kind of fucked up to say “fueling the economy needs babies,” rather than “the economy needs to be adjusted to the falling birthrates.”

The Chinese adaptation by Tencent is available for free on YouTube. It does a generally good job. Episode 6 seems heavily censored, but it is otherwise a sensible adaptation of the original.
Netflix could have easily built on that and improve on it tremendously. There are parts in the Tencent adaptation that are plain bad (e.g., Evans).
However, if seems that they went on a different route. I hope that this “teaser” is not a faithful representation of the final product.
5·1 year agoToday, I was not allowed to log into Google via a school website due to using a non-Google approved browser (DuckDuckGo).
You could, maybe, try to make the argument that the use of the term “pro-business” is not meant in a laudatory sense. However, I find even this to be a stretch and, especially, if the article is written for an international audience.
They could have well framed the article around the the multiple controversies surrounding these characters. Heck, Mulino (who is standing in for Panama’s criminally condemned former President), is said to visit Cuba with certain frequency or, at the very least, uses a private jet that does.
