In before: “Dude, you don’t need high res textures or better audio. I play on lowest setting anyways.”
Availability Heuristic looks out of place. It’s pretty much the only bias I have (beside confirmation bias, which is hard to avoid as sneaky it is), but how should one survive in this world without relying on others? Without doing a scientific bias free study on every topic in life, you’re unavoidable suffering from that bias. A healthy level would be avoiding making it a rule. I regularly disagree with friends decisions, so maybe I don’t have this bias.
The movie Tomorrowland. I don’t understand why anyone could not like it. Maybe because I watched it in German, but I love this movie. It has character, it has character arcs and development, it has fun gadgets and delivers more than once a great message, that’s motivating and gives you something to think about. It has an amazing fantasy world and I enjoy the dialogues too.
Sure they could’ve shown more of the high tech society and some lines are a bit cheesy, but I never saw the audience to be 18+ and more on being also entertaining to kids.
I wholeheartedly agree. I also loved the live action and I usually hate live action. It definitely isn’t because of nostalgia.
It’s the only trustworthy site I know. I hope they don’t destroy it :(

Buddy in crime
Pretty much no phone is directed at everyone else’s face all the time, that alone is the huge difference. It’s the differences between someone using their phone and someone actively holding it upright to record the crowd. Surveillance cameras might be out there too but they aren’t sighted by everyone (different by country, some even have to deleted after 24h, unless there was a crime).
People quickly would tell you to stop recoding, if you’d hold up your phone all the time, even in situations where you’re closer to each other, like in public transport.
I always laugh at stuff like the small dust cloud of the cucumber, as if it just popped into existence and caused air pressure.
It’s too early. In 10 years Nintendo will, it’s the Nintendo rhythm.
You don’t have to shove AI into everything but it allows for a lot of amazing and crazy things. Gameplay first and I don’t think we need AI for this, but a lot of side elements can be handled by AI. Be it sounds, dialogues, voices, randomness in monster or level design etc. In general, AI could be good with filling games with content without it being generic. It will help to elevate content past obviously identifiable “random” content. Same way an AI image doesn’t look AI if it’s well made. However, we’ll get a lot of shovelware stuff of lazy companies, no one needs those.
It’s kind of funny, because in other languages it doesn’t use this distinction and people don’t eat poisonous mushrooms because someone called them venomous by accident, or the other way around with a venomous animal.
In German venomous and poisonous is the same word. It absolutely does work.
Aside of the obvious meme joke. Well, language eveolves, maybe the distinction isn’t that important any more. Other languages don’t have it and usually you add more context to something. Also when was the last time you tried to eat an unknown animal? Or where in a situation, where you had to decide if the dangerous looking animal is only supposed to be uneatable instead of venomous?
Try to imagine what people wear in 2090. I simply can’t.
