I believe that for real political change (and not the same old two-party pendulum between republicans and republicans-lite), voters need to accept losing elections in the short term while growing a better alternative.
Case in point, I’ve been voting for a party that was polling on around 3% initially. They’re eleven years old now and on 12%. Their party leader is the most popular political leader in the country too.

Yeah. I used to get up around 6am during my early twenties. I loved it. I’d pack a snack the night before and head straight out the door at 6am to go to the sea while there were very few people up yet.
Unfortunately the people I lived with didn’t go to bed until late so I couldn’t get to sleep early enough, but I loved those 90 minutes of feeling like I had the world to myself.

I wonder how well this would work in my neighborhood 😬 but it’s a good initiative. And since someone has figured it all out, and even studied the results, it’s literally a “no brainer”.
I know. And I’m not from Britain so I’m looking from the outside. My understanding is that these groups haven’t had as much traction in the past (eg UKIP). It’s because they are so open about how rancid they are that I thought they would be rejected by the electorate.

Yes, but I think radical reforms have been needed since he took office haven’t happened. They’ve gone backwards in some cases.
He has also broken ten of his election promises, IIRC. So I’m basically saying that when a laggard like himself complains, it has less credibility.
