The math is interesting: it takes 40L of sap to produce 1L of syrup which means only 2.5% of the original sap remains after boiling it. I wonder if it caramelizes slightly from the boiling process.
Look at LA with Google Earth and then compare it to a city like Berlin or München. You will see that LA has far more parking lots, more stroads (roads that extremely dangerous and hostile to pedestrians and cyclists), and far fewer parks

My first degree was in medical science, and it has been a while, but I am pretty sure our neural pathways are nothing like a Turing complete binary machine so it is pretty weird to try and evaluate people in terms of “human bytes”
I agree. On one hand people should be mad that cars are killing us, destroying our communities, and the planet. But on the other hand, it is ragebait, and ragebait only promotes a reactionary mindset.

Same. Here. I have a s21, but it is frustrating how little control I have over the device. Garbage apps like chrome are taking up a huge chunk of my storage space, but my phone won’t let me uninstall them.
My dad would get mad at me for sitting too close to the tv or for not recognizing people. They never thought to have my eyes checked until my Kindergarten teacher had the school test my eye sight

Go to Iceland and there are huge fields of lava rocks covered in a thick yellow-greenish moss because there isn’t enough soil for anything else to grow. It is surreal and probably what most of the earth looked like for those 40 million years
