I like to characterize this as a direct consequence of their own bad decisions, and not something other people are doing to them. They chose to be shit and it only works out for them as long as other shits are there to protect them. Take away that privilege and they whine that they’re being victimized when the consequences are no longer deferred.

Just because they put a picture of a cherry pie on a crisco can for decades doesn’t mean you should call crisco “cherry pie”.

We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. We haven’t come to it. It’s just a complexified chatbot they’re calling AI for marketing purposes.

That’s like taking control of your heart back from your autonomic nervous system. I’m sure you’d be very proud of yourself for about three seconds.

AI don’t think or have feelings (it’s debatable whether they’re even AI or that’s just marketing BS). False equivalency.

Let’s not let perfection be the enemy of progress. He yet lives and may yet keep learning and growing.

The masses need to wake up and realize that the things being denied to us are just a test run for things that will be denied them as well in due time.

I was pushed so hard that I built a complete “normal human behavior simulator” that saved me from being a nonverbal wreck. What I did is nothing short of amazing, but it’s a product of tremendous abuse and internal struggle that I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. How can I encourage someone else to endure as I did, to hope for the miraculous outcome I got? It seems unethical. I’d rather turn and attack the people putting that pressure on them.
