The youtube algorithm determined the following: people who watch the kind of videos in your history, are also interested in recording netflix shows. And it was right, because you are in fact interested in that (general) topic. This is another possible explanation.
“Keep my wife’s spaghetti out of your mouth!”
“They must have clipped off your wings, because you look like an angel.”
The 2nd latest thing I saved was a comic from the Library of Congress archive that I cleaned up to post on !truecomics@midwest.social:
It is a period of brain maturation, learning about intimacy and mutual support, intensification of pre-existing friendships, family-oriented socialization, and the attainment of those social skills that are needed for mating and reproduction.
Awesome, thanks!
Hey so what is this cognitive development that I may have missed out on? I tried googling but nothing comes up. Can you point me to some reading about this? Or some term to search for? Thanks.
Sorry fam I didn’t mean it that way, I’ve just learned to be suspicious.
The IRB rejects your experiment for not being unethical enough.
the last cognitive development stage, which happens around 26-27.
Wait, what? I don’t think I got the memo on that one. This isn’t some “manosphere” thing, is it?
ikr a lot of people go to Church events for “safer” socializing, even if they only attend the services on Christmas and Easter if that. If you’re Catholic or Orthodox, it’s more like a cultural thing. (this may vary by area. Also it’s not really safer, but your grandmother will say it is.)
Couchsurfing got me great friends, girlfriends and eventually my wife.
I should totally try that. It’d be like: “Honey? How long is Rolando going to be staying on our couch? He spends all his time on his laptop giggling at that weird website full of communists and furries…” / “I don’t know… Let’s… Let’s set him up with that friend of yours, I bet that’ll get him out of here!”
And plus, once you do have a relationship, it’ll be a lot stronger because you won’t desperately need to be in that relationship at any costs.
Rolando@lemmy.worldto Privacy@lemmy.ml•Store making me feel like an outcast because of privacy concerns16·9 months agoThe last time I bought a Mac was like 10 years ago, at an independent computer shop that specialized in them. The person at the register insisted on getting my personal info “because Apple needed it” but I didn’t want to give it. The person at the register very slowly sauntered up to their manager, had a long discussion, and eventually they figured something out because I suddenly didn’t need to give my info. It was kind of nervewracking because I was paying cash and I was like: what if I hand it over, and they change their mind? It’s not like I could call the cops, I’m the wrong demographic.
Anyway, whenever I thought about getting an Apple system, I remembered that experience and went with something else.

She did not, however, manage to retrieve her phone.

More like an oldschool hacker (in the traditional sense of the word) whose mind is going. But I hope you don’t go that route, because “it was all just a dream” is a cliche.
Maybe we should consider replication studies to be “service to the community” when judging career accomplishments. Like, maybe you never chaired a conference but you published several replication studies instead. You could get your Masters students and/or undergrads to do the replications. We’d need journals that focus on replication studies, though.

Emo nights are a thing around the US, not sure about the crowd age.

I was going to agree, but I haven’t had Brach’s candy corn in a while, every so often those large companies change the formula to make things cheaper* so it’s hard to be sure.
