  • This is the correct answer.

Life is programmed to make more of itself. Successful life means more successful reproduction and numbers.

Just because we consume that life doesn’t mean that it failed in any way; quite the opposite, if we propagate that life because we find it desirable for some reason that life has become more successful than its competitors.

Everything from apple trees to cattle have become incredibly successful thanks to humans’ desire for them and being the benefactors of their propagation. They are the winners in a backhanded sort of way.

  • Exactly what is it they’re supposed to learn? I’m tired of this generic self-flagellation and blame game that says exactly the same thing every loss, but gets rounds of back slapping when the exact same tactics net a win.

What is it exactly that should be done differently?

The reason we lost is because people didn’t vote. Not because they voted for trump. So some apathetic MFs handed trump the win. We should ask them why they allowed that to happen.

E: y’all downvoting a legit question and position? Pretty hypocritical to push aside someone asking a real question about change so the question doesn’t get seen. We want change, but we don’t want anyone to ask us what it should be?

  • My music is a compost pile. All the new stuff I listen to is on top and it gets listened to on repeat and the music is less engaging the further down the stack it goes, even though it was on repeat when it was fresh. Stuff at the bottom of the list may only get played once in a year or even less.

My brain has changed a bit over time. I used to need that constant noise, it helped things flow. Now I prefer quiet. Noise breaks the flow.

  • I’ve been participating in Threads (yeah, I know, should be ashamed) and I’m unfortunately a sucker for some of the ragebait, especially political.

Guess what Threads pushes at me. A lot of the dumbest ragebait. Not people that actually want to have a conversation. My fault for being a sucker, but the algorithms work.

Doesn’t really matter, I’m shadowbanned. Pissed off too many republican propagandists by refuting them, so as usual, the “report” button is their remedy.

Twitter or Threads? Threads has got some of the stupidest people, biggest trolls, or Dollar Store AI writing stuff on the platfom. It’s literally so bad that I have a genuinely hard time believing anyone could be so stupid to write the kind of material presented there.

This would be par for the course on Threads.

  • Some states require front plates.

Blocking a plate with a bike rack isn’t a bad idea, except - a) the rack will wear your paint, b) any automated toll collection based on license plate reading will also be blocked. Probably NBD once in while, but if someone regularly skips tolls and is caught it’s gonna hurt. They just had a toll-skipper sting near me where they caught a crapton of people who regularly skipped tolls with license plate blockers and temp tags. They lost their cars instantly, a few got slapped with 6-figure fines and fees, and I imagine jail time might be on the menu for some.
