People are complicated and come from a bunch of different communities or backgrounds. I mean, serious question. Is the goal to produce a pure echo chamber where no dissent arises? How far does this go. It seems like the end result of this is 5-10 large groups of peeps who have “aligned values” that can endlessly reinforce each other. I have a MAGA chud relative that spouts all kinds of nonsense. I know 2 people, completely separate and accross the country from each other that have wrecked due to autopilot failures or errors or whatever. I know this is ultimately anecdotal, but it really seems like Tesla isn’t putting up pretty good numbers given my horizon.

Speaking as someone with no social media (big grain of salt), whenever I’ve heard reporting on people seeing the genocide on their phones it was always referencing tiktok. They never said “people watched children be exploded on twitter or Insta”. That could be due to user preference or whatever, but as an outsider, I have the ambient notion that more of this kind of content was coming from tiktok.

More concretely, in a lot of the stuff that came out of the twitter files, it’s clear that the US government does have, what I would classify as, inappropriate contact with american social media companies that can controle narratives. Without saying something with absolute certainty, the statement he’s making sounds pretty reasonable.

Also nothing is just one thing, there’s probably a ton going on.

Edit: being told we still do need numbers to register. I haven’t gotten a new phone since well before the change was made, so I haven’t actually created an account and gone through the process. It looks like I misinterpreted what was going on when I read the changelog.

I’ve had to repeatedly switcho “new teams”. The selection isn’t sticky for some reason. It seems like it shouldn’t be that hard to develope a messaging app that does file transfers and meetings but apparently this bloated pile of horseshit proves reason wrong. A second long delay when changing threads? “You’ll use it because corporate says you will…and you’ll LOVE IT”.

At least in the case of Gaza the US are literally funding it to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars. Unless there’s some mystical magical procedure I’m not aware of, Biden could veto anything that supports Israel that comes out of Congress. A literal unused one person choke point that keeps passing weapons to Israel. The frustrating thing about Gaza is how simple it would be to stop it. Stop the flow of weapons. The US has threatened it before, and gotten results.
