This is probably the dumbest thing, but how would someone even go about putting in a request for that? Petition your government to petition theirs? A series of letters that begin calm and professional but by the tenth round of back and forth have devolved into “And I will ‘accidentally’ take down some armament above your home in return”?
LibreOffice on an old HP laptop I got for free, still running win10 because I can’t be assed to change OS on the half-dead creature. It’s currently the home of two on-going projects and one that I will go back to whenever these two are done, or at least done telling me their stories for the time.
My only real advice is the one everyone should have heard by now: Just write something. It doesn’t have to be good, it doesn’t have even have to have a greater context. Exercise your creativity. Get comfortable with it.

I don’t know how it was in your school, but I feel you on the A.R program. My school had maybe 20 books qualifed for A.R in the library.
It was an absolute slog of the same uninteresting books year after year, and every time they wanted to ask how to make it better, they shrugged off “Get more varied options”. We could see the fucking list in the program we went to take the tests in. There were fucking hundreds.
Not everything can be framed in a way to make it easier on everyone, but it’s so much easier to teach people when you can frame it in a way they’ll enjoy.

I had access to extra time and all that for maths, which I have always struggled with learning. I never felt justified in using them, told myself I was just dumb, not trying hard enough to learn. It didn’t matter that I was losing sleep, and still not improving, there was something I could somehow magically fix if I just kept pushing myself through the rock in my way.
