People can have opinions about AI or dislike it, the problem is that a lot of Anti-AI people don’t understand that facts must be based on and supported by reality. Something that isn’t the case with this argument considering that:

1. There are open-source volunteer run services that are in fact free, and open-source (@db0@lemmy.dbzer0.com already mentioned the AIhorde in the other thread), and to add to that…
2. There are low power models that can run on a standard GPU and cooling, if one has a gaming PC they can run it themselves for the price and energy usage of a gaming session.

You can dislike that people use AI software, but the things you say need to align with reality otherwise it’s lying and it costs you credibility. Strawman arguments and ad-homeim aren’t going to fix that or make you seem more right. At the end of the day people are entitled to their own opinions. However facts rarely care about people’s feelings, and in this case they don’t care about yours. I await the logical fallacies that people will spit out to try and combat this.

Seems like they’ve been banning people who don’t cater to or go along with their Zionist apologia. They’ve also been locking and removing many such posts in support of Palestine, or critical of Israel.

Hey do you think we should maybe have a vote for adding a clause against Zionism and Zionist apologia to the Golden rules officially? I think that would probably be a good idea. Should go without saying but from what I’ve seen in this thread I think it’s probably necessary.

This just reinforces my previous assertion that the mods of !europe@feddit.org, or at the very least some of them have a serious Zionism problem. Actually considering the amount of Zionist apologists in the other thread I would wager that Feddit.org has a serious Zionist problem.

Yeah it sucks. This is actually my first real experience with Feddit.org and I’m already not liking what I’m seeing. Even if this isn’t everything and everyone there I really don’t want to associate with a Zionist friendly instance like that.

Got it, so you support the occupation and Colonization of Palestine. Here’s an idea. If you think Israel needs to exist so badly, why not just give them Germany? If anything you owe them that, not some small arab country who didn’t have any part in the atrocities. That’s why people are against Israel, having your homeland taken from you by someone else to make a home for an ethic group that, arguably does not need their own country isn’t cool, it’s even less cool when they start killing your people, including women and children.

Let’s remember. Judaism is a religious minority comprising many different people with many different views. Zionism is a political nationalist movement supported by specific people. They are not the same thing. For one, it is not supported by all Jewish people, nor are all of its supporters even Jewish. So if someone tells you that you’re being Antisemitic for criticizing Zionism or Israel, tell them to fuck off.
