Thought we could all use a laugh today, so here’s a clip from one of the funniest shows I saw off-broadway last year.

It bugs me that the article calls the US’ (and specifically California and New York) decision not to address homelessness as an ‘inability’.
We’re perfectly able to do it. We’ve made hundreds of billions of dollars appear out of thin air for other countries’ wars, and we can look at Finland as a model for policy that works in addressing homelessness.
We like our cruelty, and we want it to reflect in policies that demonize and punish homelessness. It’s that simple.
That is glorious.

Silly and wonderful.
This is actually good advice.
Biden should have stepped down a while ago.
It’s nice to live in a country with so little experience at war that our ice cream treats reflect our naivete.
LOL, that’s a good one.
I mean, it did happen in the Oval Office, not unlike Trump’s decision to monetize the Resolute Desk for ad space.
If I’m understanding you correctly, Brave Browser does that.
I still have a ton of these books and bust them out occasionally. CYOA was the peak of reading growing up.
the real winner will likely be Apple and Macs
I’m sure they will find a way to enshittify in a equally intrusive manner.
That’s a caveat I can get behind.
It makes me chuckle how, in a country where we’re spending a trillion and a half on war every year, if not more, half of the comments are like “but it costs too much”.
At least here in America, there isn’t much choice.
If you’re not in a major city, a car is generally a necessity. That choice was made for us by the wealthy nearly a century ago, when a highway system was built instead of trains.
Meanwhile NYC tries to renovate one subway line and there’s such an uproar that they decide they’ll just, you know, maybe fix it when the 100 year-old infrastructure finally fails.
It will take a few years to take effect
This is why few big things get done in America. My city took 30 years to build light rail because every time it came up people whined about how long it would take to build and the attendant inconvenience of the build, but now we have it and it’s in the process of being expanded because it’s so popular.

Please please please be nice to people that are taking their own time and mental energy from their own lives without material compensation to give you something cool to enjoy.
Not only that, sign up to donate to their Patreons. I give a buck a month to my mastodon instance and my two lemmy instances.
I only donate to mutual aid requests, personally. It’s 5-10 bucks depending on what I have at the time and I do it a few times a year. When my parents’ house burned down people donated thousands ton a GFM set up for my parents, so it feels right to pay it forward within my means.
A couple of times a year I do sales of my art that benefit a particular group, and that usually corresponds to a national tragedy. I did one benefiting Kansas City’s Community Bail Fund after the George Floyd murder, for example.
The only regular donation I make is a buck each to my two Lemmy instances and my mastodon instance every month.
