1·1 month agoHuh? I am aware; I didn’t say “all Linux projects,” did I? Of course I already know that there are already some on Codeberg and elsewhere, but I still wanted to address the behemoth.

1·1 month agoIt’s not the shipping; it’s the return policy. Amazon’s is almost impossible to beat apart from certain in-person stores like Costco or perhaps ALDI.

0·1 month agoFair, but what about the Copilot-pockmarking? And they’re always one step away from a paywall… Why wait until it gets that bad versus at least duplicating elsewhere now?
I know. I tried it.
I got stuck on the
water spout planet and couldn’t figure out where to go or what to do to get the ship out of the trees and just got frustrated and gave up because it was already sort of a slog to get even there in the first place, too.
I’m not the only one; a friend of mine is big into story and mechanics games but it just didn’t click for him, either. Some of us are just inevitably in the minority.
I don’t get it.
Interesting, thanks for the recommendation; I’d never heard of this before.

3·3 months agoOr it can replace it with an entirely different yet just as intense form of mindfulness. Have I introduced you to FTL: Faster Than Light, Factorio, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., or Noita? It really depends on the game.

5·3 months agoGeez, it sure did mess me up until I finally realized the scope.

5·3 months agoWhat kinds of video games are you playing? Very few of mine are mindless, and are almost always the other way around.

Free and Open Source Software@beehaw.org•Over the past month, I've put Linux Mint 22.2 "Zara" on 4 machines and all the owners are happy (with one of them being me)
1·7 months agoHuh, so must they all be laptops, or desktops with the owners being able to transport all peripherals to the site of the “party?” Sounds really cool.

1·7 months agoFYI, I’ve been on 2.0 since a few weeks after it released and I literally noticed no difference at all. If no one told me about the update, I would have had no idea that it had applied; everything has been running identically to how it was before. I think it’s safe to take up.

Ha, if only that were the truth. I keep preaching over there and telling people to check out /r/RedditAlternatives, at least, so I like to think that I’ve moved at least one person over, which makes it all worthwhile.
