This is cute, but I think it would have been cuter to see a Jax/Koughmo/Ribbit reunion in the aquarium.

I think the closest it really gets is the moment in the finale when Ribbit puts the bow on his(?) head and says “your secret’s safe with me” and he blushes for a few seconds, and he said something “personal” to his mum that she didn’t take well just beforehand. Nothing’s really stated out loud, and I thought there was just as much of a chance he was just into cross-dressing until Gooseworx said it out loud on Bluesky.

Maybe? I didn’t know Goose actually said that, and I’ll have to look it up, but even assuming she did say that, I’m still not too bothered by it. Often characters that start off as self-inserts aren’t one-to-one, and can develop into completely different characters over time. As a good example, the main writer of Ed, Edd, ‘n’ Eddy based all three main characters off different sides of himself.

Despite a couple of words I wouldn’t personally use, I actually agree with the broad strokes of this post, and I admire Amazing Digital Circus more for it! Jaxx is the antithesis of the main morals of the story - about opening up, showing vulnerability, and showing empathy to others when they do the same. While Pomni and the others took those lessons to heart, and grew to make genuine connections with one another, Jaxx doubled down on his(?) toxicity and cruelty for the whole show, and ended up seeing the irreversible consequences of that in a harrowing cautionary tale. I don’t think the finale was ever supposed to make us feel bad for Jaxx or that his actions were justified.

Yeah, Aardman are very much still stop motion (with a few tiny cheats, the stadium audience in Early Man and the sea in Pirates on an Adventure with Scientists).

I do both - I shave with the grain first, and then against the grain to get anything that the previous shave didn’t get. Generally I get the benefits of both!

Let’s give the next generation back their right to giggle at “spotted dick” in restaurant menus

Is that true? I’m actually floored by the idea of trying to doxx the Wikipedia editors. That’s some of the most shameless anti-intellectualism and psychopathy I’ve ever heard of.
But to answer your question directly while I process that, yes, I think moving their location to Denmark or anywhere in Europe would be an absolute victory. The only thing that’s stopped me from donating to Wikipedia is the thought that it’d get taxed and Trump would pocket some of it. While financially, the US government may not lose much, it’s a massive reputational loss, and sets the stage for other companies to do the same.

I recently bought a Fairphone 3 and installed Ubuntu Touch onto it, ditching Android entirely! I spent about 3 days working on this and would strongly recommend buying one of the newer ones with Ubuntu Touch pre-installed, I’m incredibly happy with it, feel freer than ever, and Google’s however-much-money poorer for not having my data!

Vivaldi’s a good European web browser
Can’t really add anything current to this thread since I’ve just started watching Case Closed/Detective Conan! It’s been a curiousity since I went to Japan and saw merchandise for it everywhere. See you guys in like 4 years!
