At least it didn’t return search results for vibrating buttplugs.
I predict that that will be…unpopular.
This comic is surprising dark sometimes.
Let’s not use the word “controversial” when “nobody with any qualifications would ever fucking agree with this” is more accurate. Controversial suggests a lack of consensus.
Seriously, if one guy cooked it up during a hackathon and then later left the company, I wouldn’t be shocked.
Uhh there are pretty good reasons we don’t do this today. Can you imagine if they suddenly hit turbulence? This seems like it was almost certainly photographed for advertising purposes too.
GOG doesn’t really do much to maintain the Galaxy app unfortunately. The idea of being able to put your entire library into one launcher is appealing but half of the plugins don’t even work. Even the steam one is broken out of the box these days (there is a newer version on GitHub, but I don’t think it’s official). So them not porting to Linux is unsurprising.
Concerning that it’s this easy for them to spam so many people. She might be exposing how easy Lemmy is to exploit. Does each instance have to maintain its own ban list?
This seems paranoid to a silly degree
Edit: Oh it’s police propaganda, no wonder it’s bad.
Sometimes hope is all we’ve got.
Yes, because it’s not going to be nearly as catastrophic as it sounds. What we need is a real world ender.
Gonna have to remember that line for the next time I’m at a party
They make it sound less like a bug and more like apple made a breaking change in how IAPs work.
The underlying assumption here seems to be that white people don’t listen to hip-hop, which I don’t think is true at all. I think Superbowl audiences just span several generations and Kendrick, while pretty popular, isn’t so famous to be known by a lot of old people. This has been an issue with Superbowl acts for a while now… there’s not as much of a monoculture with pop music as there used to be, and so musicians aren’t reaching the same status in pop culture as they used to.
Kafka was a visionary in a lot of ways.
Bluesky has a lot of momentum and no one cares about mastodon. So I do think bluesky will likely remain a fixture. But I don’t think it’s the thing that replaces reddit. It’s the thing that replaces twitter.
There will, some day, be a mass exodus away from reddit. But it’s not gonna be to lemmy.
I would assume that’s summation mode, so everything you enter is treated as a running total. This looks like a business calculator.
How does one prepare for global catastrophe?
