  • JFC, not The Onion.

Republicans hate America. I mean, really, really hate it. I mean the real America, not the dipshit version they use in babywords like “maga”.

They are now down to defending taking down the Statue of Liberty, if their be-clowned, be-diapered, Pumpkinhead god decides that he wants to.

BTW, I hope they have to drop using that babyword “maga” after this failure of an administration. Given they were calling themselves “teabaggers” before (yeah, I think some of them knew what it was and hoped to use it to direct it at Democrats, but then it spectacularly backfired when they realized the likes of Maddow were basically calling them gay for it, lolololol. I love that they all, to a one, try to claim that it was liberals that called them teabaggers, not themselves.), then resorted to sounding like pre-verbal babies with “maga”, my guess is that the next iteration of what they choose to call their cult will be even stupider.

  • I’d bet many of these assholes were the ones that sat in school and grumbled about how they have “street smarts” and school wasn’t practical and was about “book smarts” and it was a huge waste of their time because of what daddy and mommy already told them about the world.

Never getting equipped to understand how the world really works, how to distinguish sense from nonsense, how science works, and how to spot logical fallacies.

Some of them may have even stumbled their way through higher education, but missed out on really learning anything other than being able to (barely) do a job.

Now “doing their own research” via streamers, social media posts, random sites from influencers, etc…

  • I remember getting in an argument with a rather strident xtian and he questioned where I got my “information” from. I said: from your Bible [1], and pointed him in the direction of skeptic’s annotated bible.

His reply: “of course you’d use a resource like this”. Did it matter to him that it is annotating phrases from his supposedly revealed text? No, it did not. Having the word “skeptic” in there put him off of it and so, therefore, he just declared victory, I guess, LOL. A whole lot of xtians seem to think that “skeptic” is the same as “cynic” as a term.

[1] He was one of those annoying xtians - and probably everyone has run into them, because they seem to be everywhere - they often resort to one of the most presumptuous phrases in the English language and it’s: “read your Bible”.

It’s presumptuous as fuck to assume I own a Bible. It’s also presumptuous as fuck to assume that there is only one version of “the” bible - because there is not. And lastly, it’s especially presumptuous because it seems to take as evident that the person saying it has read a version of “the” Bible, when odds are quite high that if they read it at all, it was select passages in a study group or something like that.

In his case it was especially ridiculous since he refused to even read his Bible at the prompting of something with the term “skeptic” in it, LOL.

  • The conservatives and their party, the Republicans, are destroying this country, and are backed by extremist radicals like the Seven Mountains Mandate and Thiel and Curtis Yarvin and the authors of The Sovereign Individual and The Unhumans and so on.

These people need to be named. Talking about some nebulous thing like “the United States” in a headline without naming the guilty is just helping the enemies of the country. Sure, not too far into the article this current administration is named, but why not put that or the Republicans in the headline?
