Was not expecting the abrupt pivot into barely relevant bible study.

These just look like normal deep sea creatures. Ever see those videos with the marine biologists talking while they explore the deep with an unmanned submarine? They find weird shit like this all the time.
Ngl this sounds amazing
The sounds produced by plants aren’t used for communication, at least as far as I’ve understood it. They are, as you say, just sounds produced as part of other processes. They aren’t talking any more than a tree talks when in creaks in the wind.
Especially because it hasn’t always and it won’t forever. Humanity’s existence just happens to coincide with the period of amazing eclipses.
No gambling, one of the rules.
Takes a long time to close sales like that… Although I suspect paying above market rate for things would help grease the wheels.
Ah, good ol’ TEXTJOIN. I’ve used excel to write M before when I couldn’t figure out a way to do something concisely but I also couldn’t be bothered to write it out by hand. In hindsight, I was a shit programmer, but I’m at least good enough now that I can see how shit I was then!
Whoah, I remember all the catchy “not butter” related margarine names. I guess “I can’t believe it’s not butter” must have consumed them all before today in some act of greasy cannibalism.
I don’t think you have to look very far to see discussions of guillotines and the like - I’m not sure that the discourse is as restrained as you think.
Ngl sounds good to me. I like it cold and dark. Did I mention I’m a mole?
Wanna swap? I’ll come enjoy the snow, you can come to the UK and enjoy the, uh, rain.
Even descriptivists accept there has to be some degree of balance. Yes, language evolves, that doesn’t mean I can start calling my shoes bhurghs and expect anyone to know what I’m talking about.
But if it catches on…
My whole org is down for the count. 100k+ employees got a free day off (at least those fortunate enough not to be in IT support lol)
From The One Sentence Persuasion Course by Blair Warren: “People will do anything for those who encourage their dreams, justify their failures, allay their fears, confirm their suspicions, and help them throw rocks at their enemies”
I’ve found this helpful when trying to convince anyone of anything. The book breaks it down more, of course, but is probably not worth reading Vs the various summaries you can find online.
My summary, at least what I took from it is that you must try to understand the person you are negotiating with/pursuading. Figure out what they want, or what they’re afraid of, and offer that.
My old kindle was a nightmare for this reason. Plus the socket got funky with age on top of that, and eventually there was really like 1 special cable that would work and it always seemed to end up hidden under 50000 things.
Still, that does speak to the battery life of the kindle.
It’s called hackthebox not hackoutofthebox
Well of course we’re going to throw poo at him
Oh, sorry the 45 page document is for something else. The only person who understands this dataset is Dave and he was made redundant 5 years ago. Anyway, can you get this done today?
I’m used to UK conservatives. They don’t like poor people, I think religion is really a minor issue for most of them though (after all it does generally preach kindness to the poor).
