Just read the wiki page. It’s not 100% confirmed or explained in the article, but if you’re curious enough to comment there is a very digestible piece linked to the thread you are commenting on!
Essentially Sports is a made for advertising SEO gamer site. They don’t produce any significant content.
Where were expecting enough fermentable sugar to come from a pine tree?
Yeah the fear of imposing on someone. There are plenty of assholes, but lots of perfectly nice people just communicate what they want/need/feel and it’s okay. Not just talking about dating.
Then whenever you take your risk and do it, and get rejected, you retreat back to try it again in 6 months.
Edit: I have zero problem and welcome people being honest, and adjust accordingly. But when I try to do that it rarely works the same way. Could just be how I communicate, but it is a struggle.
P320 was just added in 2024 I believe. Sig added a few different models specifically for sale in California.
I had to look up the Numbu. Is anyone making these new? Roster only applies to newly manufactured firearms. As long as the mag is 10 or less you can buy one through an FFL.
Thanks for the quick internet search but that is not how it works in reality. You cannot really just buy a Gen5 Glock 19 in Nevada and bring into California. You need to convert the mags to 10 rounds or less or bring it in mag-less. Then sell it through a private transaction. This usually comes at huge markup.
The 54 models you cited are all from Gen 3 or older. Why? They need to go through special testing for ‘safety’. Naturally law enforcement is exempt from these requirements.
The California Handgun Roster is an attempt to circumvent constitutional protections on handgun ownership by not implementing a strict ban. I get a lot of folks on Lemmy want to see guns banned but imo these laws use the same tactics as voter suppression in the US.
True CA is still less strict than most countries. I’ll note ‘off roster’ means imported with a magazine with 10 rounds or less, and sold through a private transaction at an FFL for a significant markup.
Nice little side hustle for more than a few cops.
Yeah it’s arguable that Steam is a monopoly but somehow billion dollar publishers can’t create a store to sell their own products without fucking it up with annoying bullshit. Pay the 30% to protect you from yourselves.
Gen 5 Glocks and a load of other popular handgun models are illegal for sale in California except to law enforcement and Hollywood. The Handgun Roster
There’s also the assault weapon ban that’s too complicated to explain quickly.
Thanks I’m going to bust this out on Slack for our Prague team with zero context.
Oh man I thought left was boobs and right was dick and balls.
Ah i forgot it was Pterodactyl specifically, thanks for confirming!
P.S. to my handler at the agency, please forgive my search history this morning. The video above is what I was trying to find.
I swear there’s a video out there some where of multiple dudes in dinosaur costumes replaying this exact scenario. It’s ancient.
No I generally have to seek out UHT milk if needed.
Honestly appreciate folks in the comments verifying screenshots of social posts are real.
I’ve seen a couple mentions of YouTube in this thread. Not sure if this is source inspiration of your meme, but in case…
The Roku TV YT app has been heavily enshitified in the last 6-8 months. Keep in mind, ads on this format (CTV) typically run $12-35 per 1,000 views.
They are bit rate throttling content and it most commonly occurs on content one year or older. YT has a dismissible call to action to upgrade to premium to remove this experience.
When you pause, the app shows a display ad sidebar to the paused video.
When the TV goes into initial sleep mode after a longer pause the YT app will lose the current video and land you back on the home page.
My experience is with using the YT app on Roku TV unauthenticated.
Allowlist/Blocklist vs whitelist/blacklist in software.
A lot of product changed the terms on the front end but the backend still uses it, and our internal tools mostly use it.
