I’m no pro archer, but in my experience once you have a full draw it’s not that bad to hold.

I don’t know how else to describe it, but holding the shot feels like you’re “inside” the bow. Like you’re pushing against two perfectly spaced walls that are gently squishing you.

Drawing the bow, in my experience, is the tiresome part. More like quickly ripping apart a stack of paper.

All that said, I agree that soldiers weren’t purposefully missing the other soldiers. Everybody wants to win from the shock of an alpha strike breaking the enemy morale and nobody would let their enemy to do it to them.

Go quality build, str and dex, so you can strategically use strike, slash, or pierce weapon against any boss.

Magic is fun but with greases, weapon arts, and, whetstones you can add elemental and status effects directly to your weapon. Now you can exploit both physical and magical weaknesses.

Once you have 40 vigor, and enough mind to summon a spirit ally, level str and dex based on which one gives you more attack power on your current favorite weapon. That ensures you get the most out of each stat before hitting diminishing returns from soft caps.

If you go magic, look up how to asap get the rock sling sorcery and the meteor staff that boosts it so you have non-magic damage in your arsenal.

I needed to watch a few times to comprehend that they are parrying a nuclear blast wave.

The Lies of P combat is my favorite, it’s like Elden ring but more fair. Specifically when it comes to deflects/parries ER feels like you need to memorize when to parry whereas in LOP it feels natural to parry attacks from a new enemy.

Also, just want to comment on this

I know you shouldn’t be able to parry some kinda laserbeam or something similar.

I think you can do this in breath of the wild.

I’ve had Dark Souls on PS5 since forever, I think I got it as a free monthly game, and I finally beat the tutorial last week!

I actually think the tutorial the hardest part of the game so far. Except for the brutal Maneaters boss fight which was much harder than the double gargoyle fight in Elden Ring.

On the topic of consoles, my feeling is that the PS5 will have a long life ala PS2 because so few want the next model.
