Glad they made it back alright.

I know it’s not your fault. Just complaining about the outlet.

Man, you can’t just start a headline like that. I feared the worst.

You didn’t know the US is drug free?

I’ve been hearing about peak oil my whole life. I’m nearly 40. Should have hit it before I was born but we wouldn’t want to limit the amount of profit to be made, now would we.

I didn’t know there was a way to make a wireless keyboard worse. But by god, they’ve done it.

Sounds like a fair election.

At least it wasn’t a troll. People can be reasoned with, and learn. Trolls can’t.

No, it makes this all even more stupid. Move fast and break things is his mantra. No plans. Why should anyone care that some people can’t take the short term hit even if things improve further down the line.
This was not the way to do anything.

That’s a fine opinion to have, though I disagree with it. These tarrifs aren’t going to do much to moves things back to the US though. If nothing else, because the tarrifs won’t last long enough to have an effect. It’s likely that most, if not all, of them are illegal and will be struck down in court. But even if they aren’t, the next president is almost certainly going to remove them. It’s too easy of a win for them. Remove them and lower everyone’s expenses.
It takes years to move things to a new production facility. Companies aren’t going to just suddenly move production at the whim of a president unless they already have a way to accomplish that. Pssst, almost none of them do. They’re going to wait things out.
If congress actually enacted these tarrifs you’d get way more companies moving back to the US if there are cost savings in the long run. Cause those would very likely be in place a lot longer than a president’s term. The other problem is just jacking tarrifs up 100+% right out of the gate for certain countries. Even if companies want to move, that’s a lot of hurt in the meantime.

You still never explained why you like these tarrifs. It can’t be because of what you said in this comment because it doesn’t make any sense. Taxes are used, in part, to “fund other people’s lifestyles.” Perhaps you are referring to people in other countries in which we buy things from. Which, I guess technically we’ll do less of since the tarrifs cause people to buy less stuff. But that’s such a weird way to look at the world. You aren’t keeping more money. You’re just hurting yourself in hopes you hurt someone else more. What kind of fucked up moral compass is that?

I’m going to assume you aren’t trolling. How is it toying with people’s lives? Because over half of the US population lives paycheck to paycheck. People that may not be able to afford the cost increases that these tarrifs have caused. It doesn’t matter if they get a refund months down the line. If you can’t afford food or rent do you think the store or the landlord is going to wait to get paid until you get a refund? No.
And why would I donate any refund I get from tarrif money? It was literally my money to begin with. I already donate. And actually, I should go donate again to my local food bank since his majesty decided the government shouldn’t help people who can’t afford food. I’m sure he still thinks he’s a good Christian.
Why exactly do you support these tarrifs? Because they sure as hell aren’t doing what his majesty claims they do.

FOMO
Gotta get that dopamine hit.

Nothing’s funnier than toying with people’s lives. 😒

Don’t underestimate that skill. Helps people make it through the day.

The mystery box could be anything… even a boat.
Not the same show, but I can’t help myself.

Any chance you’re good at making guillotines? One can hope they become high demand.
