Thank you for posting the text,
Unfortunately I’m using a mobile app/browser for Lemmy and last time I looked there was not any paywall remover plugins.
The NYT bot seems to be posting a lot of articles, so I just blocked them a few min ago, no use seeing the posts if I can’t read them anyway.

Hey, it actually worked and took less the a couple of min.
I have one, going to try and tape it off from the other components heat it up and see if that works.
Yes, The 5v regulator is the same and it is outputting 5.01v under load and 5.12v no load. Not sure why the first went bad but I’m guessing the POS 5v reg sent a spike on the 5v rail when it went bad and that damaged the TLV75733. The Teensy acts exactly the same connected to a USB unmounted from the board. It boots, runs for a min while the TLV heats up then the 3v3 drops and the Teensy crashes.
Microsoft’s Bing API services (the source of DuckDuckGo’s search data) went down at approx 3am ET and has not yet returned to service. Bing, DuckDuckGo, CoPilot, ChatGPT and more are unable to use the Bing services so in turn are also not working or not working fully.
A new way of gerrymandering.
It’s easy to use the “Vote with your wallet” when you have funds to do so. People can’t vote with their wallets when they are making a choice between eating themselves, feeding their children, buying the life saving meds they need, etc. That choice is effectively removed from them, they have to go with the lowest available cost. Also consider that Family Dollar only carries the high margin items and nothing else. The local stores that carry fruit and veg do so at little to no margin or at a loss, so when they go under due to a Family Dollar moving in the community often will have no access to such items even if they (Family Dollar) stays, but to then leave the area and abandon a community after killing the local stores in the name of the all mighty dollar. . . . . They are just scum.
Family Dollar moved into these neighborhoods undercut the local stores forcing them out of business, so now these folks will have nothing. Fuck Family Dollar!
archive.ph and its mirrors like archive.today, etc. are blocked by many ISP’s DNS systems.

In case your serious that you don’t get it. The bottom pic is all crustaceans that are more closely related to insects than fish.
If Haier is claiming that the integration is causing them financial harm it means that their app is collecting your private data and they are selling it.
I run a Unifi USG-1 router/gateway now but before that I got a used AC1000 router from the thrift store for $5 and loaded OpenWRT on that. I eventually got an Aris modem to replace the Comcrap Gateway because it was messing with the DNS traffic, even when piHole was set as DNS for every machine. So if I were you I would go look at the OpenWRT list of units that will accept their firmware. Pay attention to the hardware revision as well as the model number, it matters.

Then head over to a local thrift store or two and see if you can find any for cheep.

There are no “real” alternative OS available for apple devices. You can get some IDE “lite” apps like Visual Code, Python Editor, etc. but these a meant as companions to a PC IDE not meant for compiling, linking, testing, etc. You might be able to trade the old iPad for an old laptop you can put a flavor of Linux on.
