  • The US and Israel commit daily 9/11s in Gaza/Lebanon/Yemen/Iran/etc.

You should be upset about 9/11, you should understand the motivations of those who perpetrated it, you should be upset about the root cause, and you should be disgusted that your country continues to level civilian buildings while casually celebrating it on group chat.

You should get over the idea that 9/11 was so uniquely evil, it’s the one time the American empire felt a fraction of the evil it puts out into the world.

Would you have been this upset if Biden suggested the federal government is taking the responsibility to fund the memorial? Would you have opposed ensuring the long term maintenance of it and eliminating the risk of financial issues in the long term?

Have you heard their proposal, or you’re rejecting it only because it’s GOP? You know a lot of republicans live in NY and a lot of them died on 9/11, right? You know nearly 3.5 million New Yorkers voted for Trump, right?

If there’s one thing the federal government knows how to fund and maintain, it’s war propaganda monuments. Just look at DC, and look at how actual veterans are left to rot homeless and broke while the monuments to honor them are ludicrously grand and luxurious.

  • This is antithetical to the original proposition.

I bought a Ryobi sander with its battery and charger for $20 at a garage sale to do one small job, I have a bunch of Makita tools and batteries but it would be completely foolish to buy a new Makita sander for one job.

I have a greenworks battery system and love my electric lawn mower, but when the stupid edger finally broke, I didn’t buy the same stupid tool that takes a giant 4AH battery because I’m tied into the system, I bought a lightweight Makita edger that shares the battery with my drill driver.

When I need cheap battery tools for one job, I buy Ryobi. When I’m upgrading, it’s probably Makita.

When I needed to cut down a few damaged trees, I bought a wired chainsaw and a long extension cable.

If I just stuck to Makita because I have that battery system, I’d be sitting on thousands of dollars in Makita tools I’ll use once a year at most.

  • If you’re using supported hardware, sure.

My wifi keeps freaking out, my 2.5G nic simply doesn’t work, my Bluetooth acts up constantly, the razor kernel module made my whole setup unstable and I just wanted to change the stupid RGB lights, HDMI support is unpredictable, Nvidia drivers are a shitshow.

I still don’t miss Windows, but Windows 11 is stable on the same hardware.

  • You lost the election with this strategy, and you’re still preaching from a high horse?

The issue is that liberals are right wing but pretend to care about left wing causes, but the mask has fell off and no one with any critical thinking skills still buys their bullshit narrative.

The issue is that liberals (neo-liberals, really) are horrified of actual progressive policy and will attack and do their best to undermine any progressive candidate even if it means republicans win, because the republican’s politics is more aligned with theirs.

  • Zero critical thinking or reading compensation skills, only brain-rot propaganda.

Since the only reason I even became a US citizen is because the US and Israel destroyed and stole my homeland, you can thank them for me even having the privilege of not voting for them.

I’m not obligated to save your cushy lifestyle as an American when you refuse to stop funding the genocide of my people, but yes of course it’s completely my fault that you refused to listen when I told you ahead of time that I’m not voting for them. There was no way for you to have predicted that, you had CNN and MSNBC polls that guaranteed Kamala was going to win in a landslide and I ruined it.

And now that you’re making the same mistake again, you’re preemptively blaming those of us who oppose soft fascism because to you the only boogyman worth fighting is Trump. And how do you fight Trump’s fascism? By selling maga inspired memes and calling JD Vance “just dance dance”. Good work.

    1. It wasn’t my suggestion.
    2. I do see the potential negative subtext, but they didn’t mention Jews. You’re the only one that connected Israel with all Jews, and that is antisemitism.

It’s completely valid to say “actually, I think any proceeds should go to the original victims if we can identify them today”, but that’s not what you said, you said it’s antisemitism to suggest giving it to specifically Palestinians. Would you have called it antisemitic if they suggested giving the money to doctors without borders?

You can disagree with the allocation of the proceeds, or the idea is selling the art in the first place, but you immediately jumped to accusation is antisemitism because Palestinians were involved.
