For those not in the know, what’s wrong with Uttar Pradesh? Genuine question: I know nothing of the place and I’m curious.
It’s the Alabama of India.
That’s actually too harsh a comparison for Alabama. Consenting Incest is not as bad as whatever the fuck is happening there

UP is the most populous state in India, and one of the poorest. They are often at the bottom in national rankings. But of course the memes exaggerate a bit.

From what I’ve heard when I worked tech support at a call center and everyone felt inclined to tell me their life stories, yes but mainly just somewhat less degenerate and just as much nothing done by police. It’s a low low hurdle that doesn’t require jumping.

Why not take matters into your own hands rather than ending your life? If you have no qualms with dying, you better do something because nobody else is going to punish the rich.
According to her suicide note, she dropped out of school fearing for her life. It sounds like she decided to choose her own cause of death instead of having one chosen for her. Very tragic.
Because these people won’t stop just because the girl is dead. They’ll keep harassing the family even if the girl dies. That’s how awful some people are.
