Hey how has this not been posted yet?
Literally been over a decade since I looked at anything Homestuck but I’ve got like two dozen old HMVs saved in a playlist that I can pop in and post every once in a while.
I remember following this project on the forums back in the day, I was stunned when it actually got released. So many fan projects of smaller scales petered out.
I’m so sad the forums are gone :^(

Yep, it really really sucks. I have several fan adventures that I loved that only live on in memory.

Now I’m curious if the MSPA forums were given much of a heads-up before the shutdown. I used to be on the old Wizards of the Coast forums back in the day and my little community scrambled to save as much as we could in the… I think it was a month we had? Not the whole of what we deemed “the mothership” mind you, but all the important bits of the Magic Flavor subforum we were a part of.
I remember watching this but I don’t think I ever really sat and watched it. It’s soo good, love all the little details and blink-and-you-miss-it moments (like Terezi using her seer of mind powers to know that throwing an empty pie tin at Gamzee is what’s needed to trigger him). I’m so glad they gave every character their own bit of screen time and incorporated stuff from the actual comic too. Almost enough to bring a tear to my eye.
Heck yhea. Looks love to see the community coming together to make stuff.
Yeah I remember this being celebrated when it came out. I also have very vague memories of approval by Hussie himself that this would be considered canon? I could just be making shit up.
It was one of the rare times he actually posted a fan project on the main page. He basically said “yep, this is how it happened”
