His name was Musa. He had stage 4 osteosarcoma. Some months ago when it was still localized, he was given a choice: lose his leg at the hip and hopefully be done with it once and for all, or continue chemo with uncertain results. He chose the latter. It was the wrong choice.
Rest in peace Musa.
I’m sorry, that blows.
It was the wrong choice.
Maybe. I’ve lost my best friend 20 years ago and “What ifs” can also be a fool’s errand.
Remember him, cherish whatever time you did get.
Courage to you and yours.
I’m sorry for your loss op
Thank you.
I’m actually quite shocked: he was here three weeks ago for our end-of-summer party and he looked fairly well. I kind of feared he would suddenly get worse and linger in a hospital bed for months - and possibly get that amputation he never wanted - but I didn’t expect his health to go south so fast.
I wonder if he knew at the party…
that a hard choice i can understand him
Yeah I wasn’t criticizing. Just a hard fact. I suspect he wouldn’t have fared well with the amputation either, which might be why he took he chances with the meds. Osteosarcoma is very aggressive.
yeah i know, sorry that you take it as a critick, good luck for you
sorry that you take it as a critick
I really didn’t, no worries 🙂
ok sorry
sorry bro
