So I agree with the basic point that “Modern superhero movies are capeshit” but this video would flunk even a middle school English class. Some of the points come close to being good, but the conclusion will just be very dramatic as YouTube video essayists tend to be. I will say though, judging from the name of the channel, this is possible bait. His response comments seem way too grounded to be bait though
Timestamps for lowlights
1:16 “The greatest films of all time aren’t being made anymore. Movies are also one of the only artistic mediums that can change how someone views the world.”
4:26 “It’s almost as if they designed these characters to look cool before they decided everything else about the character”
I mean yeah, thats usually how comics are
4:58 “Showing violence as cool and justified is bad”
5:53 “Killing Thanos (the guy that literally kills half of all life in the universe) is tyrannical and evil”
8:16 - “They contribute to school shootings”
10:33 “Nobody wants to see choreographed fight scenes. If it was ballet would be more popular”
These are really bad takes

It’s such a hackneyed take coming out with this in 2026, like the crest of the wave has long passed.
“The greatest films of all time aren’t being made anymore. Movies are also one of the only artistic mediums that can change how someone views the world” is just a depressingly dumb combo of opinions, it’s all just so letterboxd brained
