These socdem types that are paying lip-service to anti-Israel sentiment are, in fact, cynically doing it to win primaries and elections, and are not, in fact, going to practice any anti-Zionism at all. You can see the change in e.g. Mamdani’s rhetoric once elected, and how he’s working with Zionists now. This is how socdemism always operates, that’s the role it plays in the system: Deradicalize, pacify, control the opposition.
