I’m trying to learn and lean more towards frugality since things have been getting too expensive and would love suggestions
What i like/aim to learn
- anything simple that can be made with chickpea without adding too many of other stuff
- overly time consuming to prepare i will avoid for now so i stay motivated to learn
- willing to learn baking (prefetably if it goes well with flaxseeds/mashed banana or some other very accessible binding)
I want to keep it healthy so pairing legumes with grains/seeds/nuts (though nuts less accessible atm for me to overly rely on it)

I used to look on YouTube and old cookbooks from the secondhand book store/thrift shops.
a lot of carnist content on YouTube if im not specific and just search on learning how to cook, i will try finding plantbased cookbooks thanks for the tip :)
Here is a post of mine from a while ago: https://hexbear.net/post/9257096 with a lot of cookbooks
2 or 3 paper cookbooks are better than 200 ebooks though. The Joy of Cooking is the classic that covers many foods and techniques. It is an omnivorous publication but I’m sure you can find some books claiming to be veg JOC.
wow those will help a lot, thanks thats wonderful
Eh, a lot of meat based recipes as easily be adapted to be vegan, but you gotta find the right ingredients tbh. There’s lots of stuff online but sometimes it’s trial and error because some recipes are just absolute crap.
Eventually you learn just make things on your own, what goes well with what and all that.
