I mean yeah everything exists in degrees, but anyone canny enough to make an informed decision about joining would’ve had a formative experience of noticing the absolute failure in Afghanistan, the culmination of 20 years of the GWOT, and then thinking “you know what, we just need to send more people out there”.

I just dont understand how can you think like this unless you lived a very sheltered life and havent met many different types of people
