this is absolutely what they would do. fake rock, wire frame with drywall tape and layers of cement plastering to build it up and make it as prominent as washington. then a gilded gold ribbon saying something like “1776-2026 250 Years of Freedom”.
that would be the pitch. the execution would be a complete cockup and they would blame antifa vandals, even though it’d be pretty obvious the plan was fundamentally unworkable and the contractor was incompetent.
and i, for one, absolutely hope they do all of this.
