It’s been getting hot, after a cold spell. We spent a day at the beach, but on the way home I walked into the strongest, meanest nettles I’ve ever encountered in my life. We may need to amputate.

I feel into a nettle bush once when I was a kid after falling off a big branch that went over them (kids are stupid). Stung like a motherfucker.

I’m all good, kinda just lost interest in Lemmy to be honest, and I was spending my time just doing other things (reading, mostly). My interest in it seems to come in waves.

Not too bad, thanks, although good part of the week was recovering from long haul travel. Travel for work has been too frequent recently so I need to do something about that.

On the positive side, BBQ on Friday and Saturday, and another one in the works for today.

    How was your week?

What have you been having on the BBQ? I enjoy a BBQ but we always have super simple stuff (burgers, hotdogs, pork loins etc) and wouldn’t mind doing something more fancy.

My week was OK ta, just hectic and busy. Work work work, kids kids kids, it feels like I have zero free time at the moment. My wifes getting more clients which is great (£), but it means she’s been working most evenings, so I finish work and she’s immediately out the door and it’s about 10pm by the time all the chores, kids are down etc.

I did burgers and mushrooms with cream cheese filling wrapped in bacon on Friday. Saturday I did skewers with chicken thigh, halloumi and vegetables. Sunday was racks of pork ribs and home made BBQ sauce.

Kids are a full time job. Add work on top of that and your free time is gone. Thankfully our kids are already adults, and we now have plenty of time for other things: cooking, long walks with dogs, etc.
