So I’ve been helping a buddy to remove some wild dry grasses (think waist-height) and I told him not to throw them away so they can be used for mulch or composting. What do you lovely people think?

What are you planting? Seeds, tiny baby plants, larger plants in nursery pots, transplants?
Are you trying to supress grass & other weeds growth or just improve the soil?
Yes, the seeds are also in the soil, old roots too.
