He had an eye for cinematography and made some stellar visuals. But the content of his films was inevitably American jingoism and corporate slop. He’s Coppola without a brain. He’s Lucas without a heart. He’s Kubrick without a soul. He’s Micheal Bay without the demolition crew.

People don’t want to hear it, but Spielburg was always a hack. He had an eye for cinematography and made some stellar visuals. But the content of his films was inevitably American jingoism and corporate slop.
